We all know that maintaining a healthy weight can be the most important factor for a long healthy life. Because chia is packed with fiber, fat, and protein, it can help us feel fuller longer.  Not only do all three of these nutrients slow down the absorption of food, but as the mucilage (the fiber in chia) absorbs water in our stomach, it causes the seeds to expand, further increasing that feeling of fullness.
