Preheat the oven to 350 °F and grease a loaf pan with butter or oil.
Sift wheat flour and chia flour into a large bowl. Add the dry yeast, sugar, salt and mix all dry ingredients.
Make a space in the center of the dry mixture, add the sunflower oil and mix. Continue kneading while adding, little by little, ½ cup of warm water until all ingredients are incorporated and a homogeneous dough is formed, about 5 minutes.
Once the dough is ready, brush it with a little oil (so no crust is produced), cover with a cloth and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
Knead dough again and then place in loaf pan.
Brush dough with the beaten egg. Optional: sprinkle black chia seeds on top.
Let the dough rest for another 10 to 15 minutes then bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
